Wireless DSL Gateway with VoIP embedded

Zoom Technologies Inc. has started marketing X6v model that incorporates a feature set that will set up a new challenge for DSL Gateways. The X6v integrates an ADSL 2 / 2 + Router Wireless 802.11g / b with firewall, a 4-port switch and a VoIP phone adapter for all within the same computer.

The product incorporates Quality of Service (QoS) to ensure that the voice quality is constant. The X6v also available for QoS menus that allow the user to easily define the bandwidth dedicated to the 4-port Ethernet and Wireless LAN channel.
Service Providers can effectively control and send voice, video and data by using the remote management tools X6v. X6v users enjoy a robust set of features and a highly integrated design that maximizes performance and simplifies installation. The integration of the device saves space on the table and significantly reduces the number of interconnect cables that can create failures in the installation point.
The integrated VoIP uses the Internet standard Session Initiation Protocol (SIP).
Unlike other VoIP products, the X6v has been exhaustively tested to ensure their compliance with SIP standard. X6v has successfully completed the tests defined for SIP universally recognized by the Interoperability Lab at the University of New Hampshire (UNH).
The test suite of UNH X6v Certificates of Conformity SIP specifications, including: RFC-3261, RFC-2327, RFC-2976, RFC-3911, RFC-3265, RFC-3515, RFC-3311 and RFC - 3666. The tests are designed to uncover the implementation of errors in the analysis of messages in the same generation, implementations of state machine and protocol negotiation.
The X6v has a port FXS (handset connection) and an FXO port (connection to the telephone network) and allows bidirectional connection of calls between the traditional telephone network (PSTN) and Voice over IP. The FXO port connection to the telephone network also provides the phones connected to X6v can make emergency calls if current drops. The exclusivity provision Zoom Teleport ™ allows free emergency calls (112) according to the forthcoming regulations Market Commission (CMT).
X6v Router incorporates the specific provision "Fast Lane" Zoom which enables users to easily customize the Quality of Service (QoS) to enhance network gaming, video conferencing and other applications. "Fast Lane" enables applications that require immediate transmission of data to work safely even when competing with applications that take over the entire bandwidth, the popular multimedia applications including peer-to peer. The traffic to and from the integrated VoIP adapter is always given priority to ensure high quality voice communications.
The X6v incorporates an ADSL modem 2 / 2 + high performance that includes advanced features such as Annex M, TR-069 remote management and separating the administration of other VoIP Gateway management functionality. With X6v a provider of VoIP services can provide services using ADSL connections from other companies. Annex M allows DSL service providers offer increased upload speed (upstream) data connections. The TR-069 allows remote management of the benefits of ADSL and LAN router. The features of VoIP are controlled through a separate interface that allows the service provider remotely control firmware updates of VoIP, its functions and all utilities.
The X6v is available in two models, the 5695 and 5697. The 5695 is for the Retail market for phone service incorporates a comprehensive solution for VoIP. The service included allows a rich variety of call features including free calls to other VoIP service users. The VoIP service offers long distance calls at low cost to phones connected to the traditional telephone network (PSTN). Unlike some other VoIP phone services that only connect IP calls to traditional phone network for a fixed monthly charge, the service included in the X6v offers to pay only the calls that are made without any fixed monthly fee and have of monthly flat rate plans.
