Second Generation RFID modules from Murata MAGICSTRAP

RFID modules from Murata MAGICSTRAP thumbnails have been reduced in size suitable for being embedded in paper labels for general retail.

The size of this second generation MAGICSTRAP module is only 1.6 mm x 1.0 mm x 0.25 mm thickness has been reduced by more than half its volume by 89% compared with the first generation.
The new modules combine the latest in advanced ceramic materials with inductive coupling technology to produce a module durable, stable and easy to assemble. Each module includes a substrate, LTCC (low temperature co-fired ceramic) plus an RF chip and encapsulation. Includes 10-kV ESD protection.
MAGICSTRAP modules operating in the 860-960 MHz band and can be read up to 5 m comply with EPC Class 1 Gen 2 Globel.
