Fractus, S.A. demands 10 mobile phone manufacturers for patent infringement

On Tuesday, 5 May 2009, Fractus, S.A. Barcelona (Spain), sued mobile phone makers Samsung, LG, RIM, Pantech, Kyocera, Palm, HTC, Sharp, Sanyo UTStarcom and infringement of 9 different patents owned by Fractus.
Fractus is a pioneering primary in relation to the development of internal antennas for mobile phones and other industries. Founded in 1999, Fractus has managed to differentiate to meet the challenge of providing antennas small enough to function within a mobile phone and be powerful enough to function in mobile phones multiple bands. Fractus has been, and remains, an active supplier of antennas, antenna sending millions worldwide.
Among the numerous awards and honors received by the company for this groundbreaking work, Fractus has been selected as 2005 Davos World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer and as a leading innovative companies by Red Herring for 2006.
