Ericsson joins the PathFinder initiative of the GSMA Service
The GSMA has announced the acquisition by Ericsson of certification for their wireless and fixed operator as part of the Service PathFinder initiative of the GSMA. The PathFinder Service of the GSMA is based on ENUM technology of the GSMA and the operator acts as a central directory where operators can share addresses mobile and fixed, enabling rapid and cost-effective routing of voice packets, instant messaging, multimedia services , email and video. PathFinder streamlines and simplifies the delivery of IP-based services through the identification of IP addresses assigned to mobile phone to individual mobile devices, IP phones and devices.
