MPI / PROFIBUS transponder

 

AN Consult Spain presents new compact Flextra twinRepeater Helmholz Systeme. PROFIBUS repeater is a full DIN rail mounted.
The twinRepeater Flextra regenerates the electrical signal that arrives by bus line DP1 and DP2 relays on the line (and vice versa). You can try to speed communication (auto) from 9.6 Kbps to 12 Mbps

The Flextra twinRepeater offers an excellent way to expand the bus (up to 1 km with 2 Flextra twinRepeaters), increasing the number of nodes and expanding the system. Can also be mounted in MPI networks. In particular Flextra twinRepeater can be used to extend lines of derivation as separate segments. For each segment there is an LED showing the current status of the bus. The twinRepeater Flextra electrically isolates the two PROFIBUS segments and is provided with a switch to disable the repeater. This switch separates the segments, which however, remain able to function. The electrical connection of the two segments is done through two DB9 connectors, therefore needed to link two profibus conectorers profibus cables.
