M2M tracking platform with GPS and GSM technologies

Cinterion Wireless Modules, now represented in Spain by Anatronic, SA, announces the XT65, the first wireless module to include a logical combination of GPS and GSM technology, which greatly simplifies the development of tracking applications for use in M2M fleet management, logistics navigation and protection of persons, vehicles and buildings.

The time required to develop new applications and bringing them to market can be drastically reduced through intelligent integration of GPS functionality and GSM / GPRS and Java ™ Open Platform.
In addition to the GPS features, the XT65 module also supports data transfer standards, enabling continuous transmission of position data (if necessary).
The XT65 module supports four Quad-Band frequency ranges (850, 900,
1800, 1900 MHz), so you can locate people and objects in virtually anywhere in the world.
This new module M2M, by incorporating a Java ™ Open Platform, simplifies and accelerates the product development tasks, thus eliminating the need for additional resources such as RAM, a controller or a TCP / IP stack.
Therefore, the XT65 tracking platform creates new business opportunities in many fields, highlighting fleet management, logistics, security (of persons, vehicles and buildings) and navigation systems. In the latter case, can offer access to online services, such as updated maps and points of interest and information of the traffic situation, and allows passengers to use Internet services in the car itself.
The XT65 module, compatible with the European RoHS environmental directive, measures 34 x 59 x 3.5 mm, weighs less than 10 grams and operates in a temperature range of
-30 To +75 ° C.
