Traffic light Priority Management System on bus lines

Satel Spain introduced the system of traffic lights priority management in Priocom bus lines. Its operation is based on a terminal installed in the buses through an integrated GPS and the connection to the tachometer calculates the arrival time at the following stops a model based on pre loaded and radio communications coming traffic light controllers

The bus, on arrival at depot automatically communicates by radio frequency data also actual arrival at stops and intersections and management software to correct and update the model based approach to the analysis of real data.
Priocom operates autonomously (without the need to integrate into an SAE) buses communicating directly with the traffic lights via radio frequency. The system can operate with different types and interfaces, traffic light controllers. Communications between the buses and drivers are made with color light Satelline radio modem, which provides high reliability in communications.
Priocom is installed in hundreds of buses and include reference to their use in the main lines of Paris. The system gets speed increases of between 5% and 10% and 50% improvement in regularity. The softer ride of the driver, who knows he does not need speed to get the green light, resulting in passenger comfort, minimizes braking and saves fuel.
