GPS cards for portable computers

U-blox, distributed by Venco Electronica, announces the immediate availability of PCI Express Mini Card GPS. The card allows the new generation of laptop, netbook, mobile internet devices and PC "Ultra Portable" provide information and GPS location-based services such as personal navigation, location and geotagging services or people.

The Mini PCI Express card is based on the positioning engine u-blox 5 "by providing industry-leading time lowest first location (<1 second). The card requires only an external antenna and is supplied in two sizes, "PCI-Express Mini Card (PCI-5S)" and "PCI-Express Half Mini Card (PCM-5S)", to accommodate different needs in OEM. Cards implement technology unprecedented u-blox SuperSense which can still exceptionally weak GPS signals (-160dBm) and the Kick Start function that gets a short time for the first location with weak signals. This allows continuous navigation in dense urban environments, even with low-cost antennas.
Thanks to Algorithms "anti-jamming" owners of u-blox 'products are highly immune to noise generated by the PC bus, mobile phones and electronic devices nearby. It also has driver support for Windows XP and Windows Vista and is already preparing the driver for Windows 7 to come.
Both PCI-5S and PCM-5S already in mass production stage.
