Antenna module for Smal GPS mobile devices
Antenova Ltd announces new GPS antenna modules Radionova ® RF chip based on GPS receiver IC MStar MSB2122 low power. Antenova also indicates that the module has been successfully integrated into a personal tracking device the size of a credit card design for personal security and safety executive for lone workers.
GPS Radionova prod20Los of Antenova M10295 and M10300 are highly integrated GPS RF modules based on flash very suitable for a wide range embedded GPS applications. The devices combine the high performance MSB2122 MStar Poseidon IC with Antenova antenna technology for high efficiency to provide an optimal radiation pattern for reception of GPS for static or portable.
The M10295 is designed for low profile planar assembly with all components incorporated in front single module with dimensions 28 mm x13 mm x 4.7 mm which provides a complete GPS solution. The device also incorporates an antenna switch with built-in active sensing for optional connection to the antenna. A version of a lower profile of just 3.1 mm in height is also available for applications in ultra-thin devices such as personal tracking devices or credit card size labels for lone workers. A reference personal tracking device the size of a credit card that incorporates the M1095 RF antenna module is also supplied by Antenova.
The M10300 is a small compact module of 25 mm x 8 mm x 6 mm surface compressed into a RF module and passive antenna. All components of the termination are contained in the RF module, providing a complete GPS receiver maximum design flexibility for multiple platforms. The M10300 provides the optimum radiation pattern for reception of GPS in small, typically 40 mm x 40 mm or smaller, the plates have been optimized for watches and small tracking devices. The M10300 benefits from Antenova's patent pending antenna circuit that allows the antenna is optimized for a specific product without changing the antenna or module.
The M10295 and M10300 operate with a single 3.6 V supply with low power and low power modes available to larger energy savings. Both devices operate autonomously and assisted only by the operation of GPS (A-GPS) via the data network MStar astronomical calendar.
