The video signal generator R&S DBSG by Rohde & Schwarz is able to support development and quality control of the next generation of TV devices and projectors.

 This is a low cost solution suited for small budgets and that it is capable of generating all audio and video signals needed for TV equipment with a wide range of colors video. The option R & S DVSG-K10 allows the R & S DVSG screens measuring range of up to 12 bit colors. Additionally, sequences as R & S Multi Motion improve image quality checking, for example, the stroke diffuse and deinterlacing. Rohde & Schwarz has also added new audio capabilities to enable analysis of the audio quality.
The new TV devices that support a broad range of colors improve color quality and offer the viewer an unprecedented image quality. These new features of the image also has to be checked: the quality of brightness, contrast, color, viewing angle and motion artifacts have to be measured. Equipped with option R & S DVSG-K10, R & S generator DVSG AV R & S provides the signals necessary to verify these features. AV generator transmitting video content without compression with a maximum resolution of 1080p and PC resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA). The speed is variable so that all relevant refresh rates can be configured according to the resolution supported. The extensive library of signals as the R & S DVSG supports speeds that vary by country according to different standards in force.
The R & S DVSG with sequences as R & S Multi-Motion is the first reference measurement solution available in the market for the assessment of motion artifacts in TV sets. Thanks to the sequences of moving it, the R & S DVSG helps identify the defective pixels on LCD equipment or plasma TV and projectors. Diffuse line measures, deinterlacing and overscan are reproducible and allow a thorough assessment of the quality of the image processing unit in the device under test.
