Ekahau Inc. offers a family of small mobile transmitter batteries, called the Ekahau location beacons, to increase the location accuracy of their recognized Wi-Fi RTLS solution. These beacons are designed to improve performance in areas with little coverage Wi-Fi but where accuracy of location is a critical mission. They can help to improve the accuracy of the location to levels previously available with expensive and proprietary systems are not based on standard Wi-Fi technology. For a typical hospital setting, the Ekahau location beacons can ensure accuracy and bed level in areas with little room Wi-Fi coverage, without having to install access points Wi-Fi additional.
